A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENTOF BIBLES FOR THE WORLD
One of the challenges we face as Christians is to be a light to others. Jesus’ command to “make disciples of all nations”— otherwise known as the Great Commission — doesn’t leave room for us to neglect praying for those who are unreached. Even those with whom we disagree. That includes people who are followers of Islam.
For most of this century, you and I have been exposed to more about Muslim beliefs and practices than we ever imagined — primarily through the news media. Age-old conflicts between Muslim nations and the West (including the current crisis in Iran and the years of violence between Israel and Gaza) have made it easy to view ALL Muslims as “the enemy” rather than as people whom God loves. They are in desperate need of the Gospel. AND they are in need of our prayers.
That’s why I want to invite you to join me in prayer for the Muslim world — specifically that God will provide many more opportunities for His Word to penetrate the significant barriers that exist to reaching Muslims with the Gospel. And that’s why I’m pleased to send you and other partners of Bibles For The World a free copy of 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World.
